Peel to hold ‘Wirral Waters’ public exhibition 12th- 13th September

Peel Holdings will be holding a public exhibition this weekend to showcase their £4.5 billion ‘Wirral Waters’ scheme which they have been preparing for a planning application for the last 2 years.

The exhibition will take place this Friday and Saturday on the 12th and 13th September between 10am – 4pm on a stand at Birkenhead Market Hall (opposite the pet store on the Laird aisle) and members of the public are invited to come to meet the team, have their say and see some stunning new images together with a scale model of East Float that shows the latest changes to this magnificent scheme.

The £4.5 Billion waterside redevelopment scheme will see the transformation of Birkenhead Docks with Wirral becoming an international waterside destination rivalling cities such as Sydney, New York and Shanghai.

It will see the creation of a world class mixed use iconic waterfront development providing major benefits for the local economy and for the people of Wirral and beyond with a massive increase in tourist business, tens of thousands of new jobs and inward investment to the area.

Lindsey Ashworth, Development Director at Peel said, “We urge all Wirral people to come and see us at our exhibition in Birkenhead this weekend. This is a great opportunity for the people of Wirral to see first hand what the scheme now entails and to find out what progress has been made over the last 12 months and to speak directly to Peel and their consultants about their thoughts”.
