Peel to hold ‘Wirral Waters’ Public Exhibition 4th – 5th December

Peel are to hold its third public exhibition in December prior the submission of a planning application to the Council to develop part of the land that falls within their proposed £4.5 billion 'Wirral Waters' scheme.

The exhibition will show to the public the final East Float scheme that takes account of points previously raised by the public.

It will take place on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December between 10am – 4pm on a stand at Birkenhead Market Hall (along the fishmongers aisle). Members of the public are invited to come to meet the team again, have their say and see some stunning new images together with a new scale model all of which shows the latest changes to this magnificent scheme.

Lindsey Ashworth, Development Director at Peel said, “We have now had two exhibitions at Birkenhead Market, both of which have been extremely successful and helpful in making changes and progress. The people of Wirral have been very supportive of our proposals and the purpose of this particular exhibition is to show the public the final East Float scheme which has taken in to account their views and to once again encourage them to give their opinions and hopefully further support for the scheme.”

The £4.5 Billion waterside redevelopment scheme will see the transformation of Birkenhead Docks with Wirral becoming an international waterside destination rivaling cities such as Sydney, New York and Shanghai.

It will see the creation of a world class mixed use iconic waterfront development providing major benefits for the local economy and for the people of Wirral and beyond with a massive increase in tourist business, tens of thousands of new jobs and inward investment to the area.
