Brookes Bell announces move to new waterfront office at Princes Dock, Liverpool Waters
Global marine consultancy Brookes Bell relocating to a new modern waterfront workspace at Princes Dock
Global marine consultancy Brookes Bell has announced it is relocating its Liverpool office to a new 5,500 sq ft, modern waterfront workspace at Princes Dock, within Liverpool Waters – the landmark regeneration scheme being delivered by waterside regeneration specialists Peel Waters.
The move, which represents the biggest office letting at Princes Dock so far in 2026, reflects a period of sustained growth for the business and a strategic shift towards a more collaborative, future-focused working environment, while reinforcing the company’s deep and longstanding connection to Liverpool’s maritime heritage. Brookes Bell will occupy the top floor of No.10 Princes Dock, which has recently undergone a full refurbishment by Peel Waters.
a growing community of major names
Brookes Bell will join a growing community of major names at Princes Dock, including Griffiths & Armour, Global Ports Holding and CMA CGM, as well as a host of innovative SMEs. The move further strengthens Princes Dock’s position as a key hub for professional, maritime and international businesses in the city.
Princes Dock was selected for its excellent proximity to maritime industries and its strong connection to the city’s historic and ongoing role in the global marine sector. Located just minutes from The Port of Liverpool and Liverpool2 deep water terminal; Princes Dock itself is home to both the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal and the Liverpool Cruise Terminal which is projected to welcome 235,000 passengers this year.
Brookes Bell’s new office at Princes Dock will provide a contemporary, open-plan environment with enhanced meeting facilities, improved shared areas and inspiring waterfront views. The layout has been designed to encourage collaboration, flexibility and cross-disciplinary working across the business.
Investing in its people, facilities and technical capabilities
Princes Dock now offers a growing mix of leisure and amenity, including restaurants and cafés, a Sainsbury’s store, Wyld Sauna, open-water swimming and dragon boat racing, and – launching in May – the UK’s first floating Padel centre. All commercial spaces at Princes Dock, including No.10, are now connected to the new Mersey Heat District Heat Network, further enhancing the sustainability of the Grade A office spaces at Liverpool Waters, and the benefits to new tenants.
With more than 120 years of maritime heritage, Liverpool remains central to Brookes Bell’s global operations. The move forms part of the company’s wider strategy to continue investing in its people, facilities and technical capabilities.
Brookes Bell continues to expand its services across salvage, marine engineering, cargo science, naval architecture, metallurgy, fire investigation, paint and coatings, and fuels and liquid cargoes, supporting clients across major maritime hubs worldwide.
The relocation to Princes Dock reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, service quality and long-term investment in the region’s maritime economy.
Princes Dock gives us a modern, flexible environment right at the heart of the city’s maritime community
Andrew Yarwood, Business Director at Brookes Bell, said: “This move is a really important step for Brookes Bell in Liverpool. Our business has grown significantly, and we needed a workspace that reflects how we work today and where we’re going next. Princes Dock gives us a modern, flexible environment that supports collaboration across our teams, while keeping us right at the heart of the city’s maritime community. Liverpool has always been central to Brookes Bell’s story, and this move underlines our long-term commitment to the city and the region.”
Liza Marco, Senior Asset Manager at Liverpool Waters, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Brookes Bell to Princes Dock. They are an internationally recognised business operating around the globe and their decision to relocate here is a strong endorsement of both Liverpool Waters and the quality workspace available here. Brookes Bell joins a growing community of leading international companies and innovative SMEs, and their arrival further reinforces Princes Dock’s role as a prime business location on Liverpool’s waterfront.”
