For the second year running, Liverpool Waters’ Princes Dock will play host to the 30th International Canoe Polo Event.
Known as “polo” by aficionados, Canoe Polo is one of eight disciplines of its kind in the UK which combines both paddling and ball handling skills in a thrilling team sport.
Two teams of five (with up to three substitutes) complete to score goals in the opposing team’s net which is suspended 2 metres above the water. Whether opponents hand flick with the paddle or throw it by hand – the aim is simple, to score more goals than the opposing team!
