1. The first thing I do when I get to work is…

Check my emails. The morning is a very busy time as I have to contact all of my supervisors and make sure everything is running smoothly and there are no lateness or sickness issues I need to deal with. I am responsible for 120 staff over 27 sites so it’s a big job! When I’m all done with that, then I can stick the kettle on.

2. My desk space can be described as…

Organised, to an extent! My desk is full of maps, schedules and other information so you can tell it’s a busy desk.

3. I am most productive in the…

First thing in the morning. There’s lots to do when I first get in and then I tend to be out and about in the afternoons before returning to my desk in the evening.

4. When I’m not at my desk, I’m normally found…

On the road visiting clients and staff. I have lots of audits and performance reviews to do so I do a lot of travelling. It’s not really an office job, it’s very operational.

5. After a busy day, I relax by…

Swimming! I love to swim. Also spending time with my wife and kids, getting some quality time with them helps me to relax.

6. The best thing about working in Liverpool is…

The energy and positive vibes. Particularly on the waterfront, you get a real sense of the diversity in Liverpool. It’s very multicultural, very lively. You can really feel the energy.

7. If I weren’t doing this job, I would be…

Deep sea diving. It’s something I really would have liked to have done when I was a kid. I actually did the training at Fort William in Scotland but it’s an extreme environment and unfortunately I wasn’t able to continue.
