Liverpool Waters will create £1.3bn in public benefits, support local health and wellbeing and the city region’s zero-carbon pledge

A recent study has shown that Liverpool Waters, Peel L&P’s transformation of 60 hectares of reclaimed and former dockland along the River Mersey, could create an estimated £1.3 billion[1] of public benefits over the next 50 years, by providing additional green space that will provide a variety of benefits, including improving air quality and storing carbon.

Everton reveals final stadium designs ahead of planning application submission

Everton Football Club has revealed the final designs of its new 52,000-seater stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock on Liverpool’s waterfront, before a detailed planning application is submitted to Liverpool City Council today. The plans for the stadium, which will sit within Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters site, would have a transformational impact on North Liverpool, kick-starting the regeneration of the northern docklands, contributing a £1bn boost to the city region’s economy, creating up to 15,000 jobs and attracting 1.4m visitors to the city each year.

Vital Energi appointed to deliver Mersey Heat network at Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters

Peel Energy has appointed renewable energy company Vital Energi to deliver its Mersey Heat network which will provide heat for up to 9,000 homes and 4m sq ft of commercial space at Liverpool Waters. The district heating network has been designed to evolve alongside Peel L&P’s £5.5bn Liverpool Waters development and will begin with a temporary energy centre to serve the initial phases. As the energy demand increases, this will be replaced with a permanent energy centre which will deliver low carbon heat and hot water to the growing community.
