Creating waterfronts
people love
Every Peel Waters location is unique, yet they all have one defining feature that links them together, exceptional access to the waterfront.
By opening up rivers, canals, docks and quaysides, we create healthier, greener environments with new parks, walking routes and public spaces that support waterside wellbeing and encourage active lifestyles.
Our destinations have become recognised cultural and community hubs, hosting major events in art, sport and music, and reinforcing our commitment to placemaking, community activation and long-term stewardship.

Embassy Village: A groundbreaking community supporting Manchester’s most vulnerable.
Embassy Village is one of Peel Waters’ most socially impactful projects – a pioneering, purpose-built community designed to support people experiencing homelessness in Greater Manchester.
Developed in partnership with the Embassy charity, Embassy Village is transforming a site beneath 22 railway arches into 40 high-quality homes with wrap-around support, green spaces, mini allotments, a village hall, counselling areas, communal computers and a training kitchen. Work began on site following significant fundraising, including a £3.5m donation from the Moulding Foundation.
The project is designed not as a traditional shelter, but as a supportive, skills-based community, where residents commit to six hours of training per week in budgeting, cooking and essential life skills – a model that helps break the cycle of homelessness and reintegrate people into stable employment and independent living.
Developers, consultants and construction partners have all contributed pro bono, reflecting an exceptional level of partnership, social value and community commitment. Peel Waters’ leadership and land contribution have been pivotal in enabling this transformational scheme, which will open in 2026.
